Sunday, November 17th
Someone begins the familiar refrain, "Our Father which art in heaven" and we all join in, right on cue: "hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven..." The Lord's Prayer has become a meaningful liturgy that calms us and connects us with the transcendent. But what if Jesus wasn't teaching us a prayer to say? What if he was actually teaching us how to pray? And how not to pray? In fact, the Lord’s Prayer is not a poem to recite. It’s actually a full on engagement with God that his kingdom would be established on this earth, here and now. When the Lord’s Prayer becomes our prayer, it will shake us to the core with conviction and passion! In this message Pastor Roger will explain in very practical terms how not to pray and how to pray.
